Falling Springs Falls (originally from March 2, 2021)

I kind of fell out of writing for a little bit, but I’m going to start back with it and share some adventures from summer/ fall 2020!

I’ve lived in Virginia my whole life and had never heard of Falling Springs Falls until this past May. This treasure is located near Covington, Virginia. It was about a 5 hour drive from where I live in Chesapeake, but it was completely worth the drive.

There’s limited parking on the side of the road near the waterfall. There’s a short trail through the woods that follows a stream. Then the trail gets pretty rough as you get closer to the waterfall. It’s steep downhill and rocks that get slippery due to the falls.

BUT if you decide to take the trek down to the bottom of the falls, it’s absolutely breath- taking. The roar of the falling water was so load you have to yell to have a conversation with someone.
